2023 election: Peter Obi wins in Lagos, beats Tinubu, Atiku and Kwankwaso

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), in the person of Peter Obi, has won the presidential election in Lagos State by a very wide margin.

Obi defeated Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate after the votes were calculated from all the 20 LGAs in the state.

Tnubu is a former Lagos governor and the state is historically his stronghold. it is the state where he expexected to have the highest vote. with this outcome from Lagos, the 2023 general election is unpredictable.

Former vice president Atiku Abubakar who is the candidate for the People’s Democractic Party (PDP) came a distant third according to the results announced at Lagos collation centre.

In total, Tinubu polled 572,606 votes, Obi polled 582,454 while Atiku gots 75,750 votes.
