Npower NEXIT: ‘This Is A Process, NEXIT Loan Will Be Disbursed To Qualified Applicants’ Soon, Scheme Assure Exited Beneficiaries.

Gistmast understands that about 319,000 disengaged beneficiaries of the famed scheme throughout the federation are yet to get paid their exit package, the CBN Nexit Loan over 3-months after training.
The NEXIT Loan is an exit package for the disengaged Batch A & B beneficiaries of the Federal government’s Npower programme. The exited beneficiaries are expected to get a loan up to 3 Million Naira (unsecured loans and interest free) after training.
According to the Minister, the Nexit loan from FG is expected to aid the disengaged Batch A & B beneficiaries of the Npower scheme, who can venture into meaningful business to earn a living. This has been a prolong dream to many affected applicants, with some losing interest, and fate of securing the funds.
This online news medium observed that a significant number of beneficiaries (graduate and non-graduates) groan that they were not even paid their 5-months Backlogs.
Additionally, independent monitors of the National Social Investment Programmes (NSIPs) as well, tender grievances related to non-payment of their entitlement.
Since Farouq’s assumption of office in October 2019, Gistmast learnt that protests relating to delayed stipend payments have become a norm.
The situation has caused many disengaged beneficiaries to regularly take to social media to lash out at Umar Farouq.
Reacting to the criticism, the scheme N-Power, via its official Twitter handle, says NEXIT Loan disbursement “is a process”, assuring the disengaged beneficiaries that their exit package “will be paid soon”.
“We disagree ma’am. She takes issues around N-Power very seriously. There is a process. Your exit package will be paid” the scheme said in a statement.
The Federal Government’s N-Power scheme was introduced in 2016 by the President Muhammadu Buhari administration “to imbibe the entrepreneurship culture in the Nigerian youth aged between 18 and 35 — both graduates and non-graduates”.
This online news understands that the Buhari administration expanded the scheme from approximately 500,000 to accommodate one million beneficiaries. This, to make it the largest post-tertiary job scheme in Africa.
The N-Power (Nigeria) program provides young Nigerians with job training and education, as well as a monthly stipend of 30,000 Nigerian Naira (USD $70.58).
